Description |
Poor user interface design discourages people from using an application. If you developed that application, its poor design affects your reputation and your company's bottom line. This course explains the information architecture and user interface design principles and techniques needed to improve your applications. Information architecture organizes information and navigation mechanisms so that users may quickly find the information they need and successfully complete their tasks.
In this course, students learn the organizational, usability, and user interface design principles guiding the development of important artifacts: the site map, wireframes, and navigation flows. Students apply principles and techniques used throughout the lifecycle to develop and improve information architecture and user interface design for a sample project. This course excludes aesthetics and graphic design so that the focus remains on information structure and interaction design. |
